Onyx is a great place to go if you have dietary requirements. The service has been excellent every time I've visited and the food exceeds expectations. My favourite place to eat in the valley!
I visited Onyx for lunch during a work trip to Traralgon; needless to say I was not disappointed. This is great little cafe serving fresh local produce with great vegan/vegetarian/other dietary options. The food was quick, fresh, reasonably priced, but above all, very delicious. The service too was excellent. Highly recommended.
Went here for lunch the other day. I found this place had incredible food. In a group of 4, we all ordered different things from the menu; smashed avo, Mediterranean eggs , Almond chicken and For the love of Plants. We all tasted each others and each dish was delicious. Would love to go there again and try some of their desserts too. Great cozy atmosphere, with a small corner for children to play.My only complaint is that both my latte and my wife dark hot chocolate came out on the warmer side and so very quickly became cold. Not what I like when I go to sit down with people, I prefer it to be warm to hot to enjoy it more. Personal preference, will just have to say that next time. Should just say, both drinks were good too, taste wise.Would recommend it for a healthy alternative to other cafes in the area. A must for cafe lovers.
I've only been once so far as I found this hidden gem just before I was moving interstate and it did not disappoint! My friend and I were exploring Traralgon and up for something new and adventurous, but not to mention healthy. What an amazing day that was, lounging on the couch soaking up the sun's beautiful rays. We were welcomed by the owner - who you could tell was so passionate about her job. She got us excited to try something new! The vibe they have created here is something unique - something you'd expect from inner city Melbourne, but lucky to be in a quiet country town. The food at Onyx is Art. It's so beautiful to look at and even better to eat. Definitely a place for the health conscious and people with allergies.
